Hollywood Bets Casino

Hollywoodbets Casino Review: November 2026 Update

Hollywoodbets is one of South Africa's best known betting brands, with a large sportsbook and horse racing offer, Lucky Numbers, and a casino side built around its Spina Zonke slots, Aviator and live tables. We rechecked its sign-up offer, banking options and responsible gambling tools against Hollywoodbets' own pages in November 2026.

Overview and Reputation

Hollywoodbets started out in 1986 as Winning Form, a publisher of horse racing cards, opened its first branch in Durban in 2000 and launched its website in 2006. Today it has over 80 branches, and the bookmaker licences it publishes cover branches in KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng, the Western Cape, the Eastern Cape, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and the Free State. The group is headed by Hollywood Sportsbook Holdings (Pty) Ltd, and its footer confirms that Hollywood Sportsbook is a licensed betting operator.

Sportsbook Features

Alongside local and international horse racing, the sportsbook covers soccer, cricket, rugby, tennis, Formula 1, esports and many smaller sports, with Live In-Play betting, Bet Builder and the Lucky Numbers international lottery offering. Regular sports promotions include Soccer Money Back on multiples that lose by one leg.

Casino Section

The casino side is split into Spina Zonke slots, Aviator and other crash games, Live Tables and GameShows, BetGames, scratch cards, Slingo and other instant games. Habanero powers the sign-up spins on Hot Hot Fruit, Hot Hot Hollywoodbets and Rainbow Mania, and Hollywoodbets' current tournaments run on Pragmatic Play, Playtech and Spinomenal slots as well as Aviator and Aviatrix. The live casino includes Evolution and Ezugi games, among them Crazy Time, Lightning Roulette and Mega Ball, and you can try selected Spina Zonke games in demo mode before playing for real money. Our guide to what RTP means in slots is worth a read before you choose where to spin.

Bonuses and Promotions

New players get a no-deposit welcome offer of a R25 sign-up bonus plus 50 free spins:

• The 50 spins are worth 60c each and can be used on Hot Hot Hollywoodbets, Hot Hot Fruit and Rainbow Mania the first time you open a Habanero game.

• The spins expire if they are not used within 24 hours of claiming them, and spin winnings must be wagered 5 times on those three games before you can withdraw, with a maximum real money payout of R1,200.

• The R25 must be used within 24 hours of your account being activated and wagered in full at odds of 5/10 (0.5) or greater on sports, horse racing or Lucky Numbers.

• You can take part before your FICA documents are submitted, but they must be approved before your first withdrawal.

There is no deposit match bonus for new players. Instead, Hollywoodbets runs a long list of tournaments and jackpots, including the Playtech Lucky Rush Tournament, Pragmatic Play Drops and Wins, the Spinoleague on Spinomenal games and the Daily and Weekly Holly Jackpots, most with stakes from R2. Its refer a friend scheme gives you a free R50 betting voucher for every successful friend you refer.

Mobile and User Experience

Hollywoodbets offers its own betting app alongside its mobile site, plus separate Livescores and Pitchside apps, and its Go Data Free option lets you use the site without spending your mobile data.

Payments and Withdrawals

Few South African sites match Hollywoodbets for deposit choice. Its deposit page lists OWNPAY, Stitch, PayFast, Wallet Doc, Zapper, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, Ozow, Direct EFT, Peach Payments for cards and Instant EFT, SID EFT, ABSA Pay, FNB Direct, Capitec via Pay@, MTN MoMo, Flash Pay, Spot Money, the Shoprite Money Market Account, Nedbank Top Up Voucher and crypto, and you can also top up with Hollywoodbets vouchers, 1Voucher and Blu Voucher.

Withdrawals are paid to the banking details you enter when you register, and Hollywoodbets also has Cash Send and Shoprite Money Market Account withdrawal options. FICA is required by law, and you can submit a copy of your ID online, by email to hwhelpline@hollywoodbets.net or at any branch.

What Do We Think of Hollywoodbets?

Hollywoodbets is a long established local brand with a genuine no-deposit welcome offer, low 5x wagering on its sign-up spins, a huge range of deposit methods and constant slot and jackpot tournaments. It suits players who like plenty of promotions and want to bet on sport and racing from the same account, while those chasing a large deposit match will find none here. If you would like to compare it with other South African brands, read our reviews of Lottostar and Betshezi.

Hollywoodbets is for players aged 18 and over only, so please read the full bonus terms, gamble within your means, and if gambling stops being fun call the National Responsible Gambling Programme on 0800 006 008, which is a free call, or visit responsiblegambling.org.za for confidential help.
